First Anniversary Celelbrations!

Saathi of Rochester, the organization established to empower victims (South Asian origin) of domestic violence, will celebrate the first anniversary of its formation on Friday, March 4, 2005 at the India Community Center. The program will include a reception (7:00 p.m.), entertainment (8:00 p.m.), dinner (8:30 p.m.), and presentations by the President of Saathi (Dr. Shashi Sharma) and a survivor of domestic violence. All are invited to attend. Admission will be $15.00 per person. Please call Dr. Shashi Sharma (381-6047) to make reservations and to purchase tickets.

Saathi of Rochester is dedicated to empowering women from South Asia, who are victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault. Our compassionate, confidential and free services enable women to choose from appropriate options. Goals of Saathi are victim intervention, linking victims with service providers, building collaborations with local programs and increasing community education and awareness in matters of domestic violence and sexual assault. SAATHI's mission is not only to help south-asian victims of DV and SA but also to work towards eradicating these monsters that continue to ruin innocent lives.
